reaching for OR light
What happened
Employee reports she was reaching up to pull the handel of the operating room light and had to jump up slightly. When she did so she hit her leg on the side of the table and sustained a gash to her right knee. She was bleeding and wrapped it with a towel. She was escorted to the Emergency Department and treated there. She needs follow up with Plastic surgery. Knee is currently immobolized. She was advised to follow up with employee health prior to returning to work. Workers comendation claim filed.
