What happened
I was floated to B Unit for a 2:1. Both patients needed repositioning and bed baths. Towards the end of shift one of the patients started to wake up and get agitated from the other patient sun downing and screaming ontop of their lungs. I got help from another nursing assistant since he was a 2 assist when the patient punched my Left AC and pushed down onto the bed when we were trying to boost him up in the bed after cleaning him. I didn 't feel anything until the next time I went to work and started to feel tingling on my hands. I went through another day of work [REDACTED] and that 's when I noticed my hand was starting to swell anteriorly and feel pain but I ignored it because I figured it would go away after I ice it at home and switch to heat also I currently cannot hold onto anything with my left hand.
