What happened
Officer approached patient 's room and noticed that the door was opening at an unusually slow pace. The Officer turned to communicate with a fellow officer. It was during this moment of distraction that the patient seized the opportunity to launch an unprovoked attack. The patient forcefully grabbed the officer by the hair. The situation rapidly escalated as the patient began to assualt the officer with a series of punches. One such punch landed on the officer 's left eye. The patient proceeded to bite the officer inflicting injuries on both his left shoulder and forearm.
