Before the incident
EE had just given the SP their Heparin Injection
What happened
After administering a Heparin injection to the patient I went to activate the safety cap on the used needle. The safety cap bent to the side instead of straight up and the needle pierced my finger. I expressed blood from my finger and washed it soap and water.
