clearing jammed cans

packaging operator suffered a finger laceration at the conveyance after the pasteurizer. the operator was clearing a can jam. As the jam was freed the cans sped up quickly. One of the cans had burst vertically leaving exposed sharp edges. The burst can sped by in the area where the oeprator had their hand causing a finger laceration. Laceration was to top side of right hand pinkie finger. EE did not call the nurse hotline as it was clear that the wound needed to be addressed at a clinic. EE went to the Concentra in [REDACTED] and was told he could not be seen as there was no Dr on site at the time. The Concentra was open. EE went to an urgent care center in [REDACTED] for treatment. Treatment consisted of gluing the laceration closed wrapping with gauze and a splint on under side of pinkie finger.
