What happened
At approximately at [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. IP (Injured Person) was in the process of transferring deck supports from a ground palette to a deck buggy that was located on the elevator’s platform. As IP transferring deck supports employee slipped on a step causing IP to fall forward as IP tried to catch himself deck plates fell from his hand causing the plates to pitch his left thumb. The employee immediately stopped work and informed his immediate supervisor and safety manager. Employee was escorted to onsite medical facility for evaluation employee received inhouse first aid and employee was released to full duty without restriction.
