Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
multiple injuries from a fall:
a) Post Precision Casting's Inc., Ceramic Department - Employee was
welding on steel beam fifteen feet above the concrete floor and was
not provided with fall protection, catch platform or other acceptable
form of protection, on or about February 25, 1988.
b) Post Precision Casting's Inc., Ceramic Department - Employee was
painting steel columns overhead while standing on cross beams and
was not provided with fall protection, catch platform or other
acceptable form of protection, on or about February 25, 1988.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
broken bones from a fall hazard while working on an insecured pallet on
the forks of a lift truck:
a) Post Precision Casting's Inc., Ceramic Department - Two employees
working from work pallet on the forks of a forklift truck and were
not provided with fall protection, on or about February 24, 1988.
"AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS THE USE OF A PLATFORM WITH STANDARD RAILINGS
SECURED TO THE FORKS OF THE FORK TRUCK WITH A SET OF LIFTING CONTROLS
ON THE WORK PLATFORM"
