Section 5(a)(1) of the Occpational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling off of an elevated work platform. NURSERY: ON OR ABOUT 6/9/92 TWO EMPLOYEES WERE STANDING ON A TWO WHEEL ELEVATED, MOBILE PRUNING TRAILER BEING PULLED BY A JOHN DEERE TRACTOR, THE TRAILER TIPPED WHEN THE TRAILER FRAME HIT THE TRACTOR TIRE AS THE TRACTOR WAS TURNING. AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHODS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. ADJUST OR REPLACE THE TOM BAR ON THE TRACTOR SO THAT IT EXTENDS BEYOND THE REAR TIRES OF THE TRACTOR SO THAT THE TRAILER TONGUE WILL NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE REAR TIRES WHEN SHARP TURNS ARE MADE. 2. USE A FIFFERENT TYPE OF VEHICLE WITH NARROWER WIDTH AND SHORTER LENGTH TO TOW THE TRAILER THROUGH THE NURSERY. 3. PRUNE FROM THE GROUND.
