Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were freee from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death of serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The hazard of falling lumber during erection of residence (located at 688 University, Woodland park, CO) due to the lack of adequate temporary bracing during the lateral move of a 22 foot glue laminated beam. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct the hazard is to: provide adequate temporary erection bracing in areas necessary to take care of all loads to which structure maybe subjecte d during erection.
