Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to risk of occupational exposure to bloodborne disease: a. Americare-Putnam NRC - Employees including, but not limited to, nurses' and nursing assistants who are potentially exposed to bloodborne diseases while caring for residents had not received the Hepatitis B vaccinations, on or about June 17, 1992. Feasible and acceptable abatement are: (1) Providing the Hepatitis B vaccination.
