EMPLOYER DID NOT FURNISH EMPLOYMENT AND A PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT WHICH WERE
FREE FROM RECOGNIZED HAZARDS THAT WERE CAUSING OR LIKELY TO CAUSE DEATH
OR SERIOUS PHYSICAL HARM TO EMPLOYEES IN THAT EMPLOYEES WERE EXPOSED TO:
EMPLOYEES IN THE GLASS CUFFS DEPARTMENT WERE ENGAGED IN SEWING AND
CUFFING OPERATIONS WHICH EXPOSED THEM TO UNDUE REPETITIVE MOTION
TRAUMA. THIS TRAUMA WAS DUE TO REPEATED HAND, WRIST, AND ARM
MANIPULATIONS WHICH WERE CAUSING OR LIKELY TO CAUSE CARPAL TUNNEL
SYNDROME, TENDINITIS, TENOSYNOVITIS AND NUMBNESS TO THE HANDS AND
FINGERS.
FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF ABATEMENT INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT
LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
