system not being designed, constructed, and maintained according to
established safety and health standards:

systems were exposed to fire and/or explosion hazards due to the dust
collection systems not being designed, constructed, and maintained
properly.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to design, contruct and maintain the dust
collection systems according to established safety and health standards.
ABATEMENT NOTE: See "NFPA 664 Standard for the Prevention of Fires
and Explosions in Wood Processing and Woodworking Facilities" for
guidance.
