Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazard: a) 2545 Aramingo Avenue - two employees were connecting pipe on top of a tank approximately ten feet above ground level without the use of a safety belt and lanyard. Observed 7/25/88 Abatement Note: A feasible and useful means to correct this hazard, among others would be to require the wearing of safety belts and lanyards. Observed 7/25/88
