Ultimate responsibility for determining the most appropriate abatement
method  rests with the employer,  given its superior knowledge  of the
specific conditions on its worksite.
(a)  At Galaxy Manor, where Healthcare workers such as
the nurses, housekeepers, etc., were exposed to
blood and other body fluids potentially infected
with HIV and/or HBV.  Feasible and useful abate-
ment methods for reducing this hazard, among
others are:  Providing hepatitis B vaccinations
to employees at substantial risk.
