Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a) On or about July 14, 1987, employees were exposed to the hazard of
being struck by a falling unbraced concrete block wall located at
2127 Northwest 53rd Road, Boca Raton, Florida.
Among other methods one feasible and accepted method to correct this
hazard is to temporarily shore and brace masonry walls as job progresses
to prevent collapse due to wind or other forces.
