Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to fall hazards:
a.   Bungee International Inc./dba Bridge Bungee on New River
Gorge - Employee(s) were hoisted and lowered in a personnel
platform connected to the hook of a Grove Model TMS 760
Hydraulic Crane, Serial Number 68339 as prohibited in
ANSI B30.15, Section 15.3.2.3 Mobile Hydraulic Cranes;
to assist in stabilizing the personnel platform during
bungee jumping activities, on or about September 16, 1992.
A feasible and useful means of correction would be to prohibit
the use of a crane suspended platform when conducting bungee
jumbing operations.
