Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a) On or about February 8, 1988, employees were exposed to being crushed
in the event they were to fall from the bucket of #734, 966 D front
end loader while they were being transported on Bonton Beach Blvd.,
Boynton Beach, Florida.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
is strict enforcement of a policy prohibiting passengers from riding on
vehicles not equipped with proper seating. (Reference ANSI B56-1-1969).
