Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The

employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
The die chock was too long for the die on line 1, Eagle machine,
making it impossible to place under the die during set up.
Reference Section 6.3 of ANSI B11.2-1982 American National Standard
for Machine Tools Safety Requirements for the Construction, Care and
Use of Hydraulic Presses.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to have chocks cut to fit the various dies and
attached permanently to the machine.
