Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The hazard of fire and explosion in a spray room constructed of materials not having at least a one-hour fire rating: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would include but not be limited to installing material on both sides of the entrance and related doors with a fire rating of at least one hour as required by the National Fire Protection Association 1979 Volume 3 Chapter 33-11.
