free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death

being infected by HBV through possible needlesticks or direct contact
with blood.
Feasible and useful abatement for reducing this hazard among others, is:
Providing Hepatitis B vaccination as a pre-exposure prophylaxis to
health care worker(s) such as that stipulated by the Center for Disease
Control, June 19, 1987, MMWR Recommendations of the Immunization
