Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Fall hazard form improper equipmetn use, resulting in serious injury or death. Workmen using Sky Genie Emergency descent equipment as primary support system for window cleaning operating on four-story office building located at 5701 n. Shartel in Oklahoma City, OK. Among other methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard are: a) To provide and use a standard boatswains chair, properly rigged with safety lines, lanyard and belt.
