Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free form recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls of forty feet from long span roof trusses; which were not secured: A) Conewago Industrial Park Construction Site - Fifty-six (56) feet long, roof trusses were not secured prior to employee(s) walking on the top to unhook cable sling(s), on or about December 5 and 6, 1990. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to weld or bolt trusses fast.
