Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognzied hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to multiple injuries from a falling compressed gas cylinder: A) Promenade Construction Site, Giant Stock Room - Seven (7) nitrogen compressed gas cylinders were not secured, on or about November 8 and 9, 1990 Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatment method to correct this hazard is to secure the gas cylinders from falling.
