Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to multiple injuries from a fall: a) Ames Distribution Center Construction Site, JLG Model 355- Employee(s) driving aerial work platform which was raised above 13 feet and the outrigger were not in use, on or about January 30, 1990. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to extend outriggers and lower pads to within one (1) inch of floor when driving above 13 feet.
