Section 17(a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: and Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling when an employee was elevated by a forklift while standing in an unsecured work platform on the forks in order to install metal brackets to a column. a) A feasible and acceptable method of abatement includes but not limited to the use of a safety platform firmly secured to the lifting carriage and/or forks. This repeat violation is based on inspection 102827326 dated May 18, 1990 at Delta Airlines, Inc. 280-285, TOC-1 Hartsfield Atlanta, Georgia.
