Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazard of an unstable concrete
pumping machine.
ATRIUM AREA AT GROUND LEVEL:  WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF PUMPING
CONCRETE UP TO THE ROOF LEVEL OF THE BUILDING, THE OUTRIGGERS OF
THE MACHINE WERE NOT FULLY EXTENDED AND CRIBBING WAS NOT IN PLAC
EUNDER THE PADS OF THE OUTRIGGERS.
AMONG OTHER METHODS ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD IS
TO FULLY EXTEND THE OUT RIGGERS AND TO INSTALL CRIBBING UNDER THE
FULLY EXTENDED OUTRIGGERS.
