Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about 2/27/89, a manually operated electrical master switch with a locking means in the off or disconnect position, was not installed at a convenient place near the overhead proofer to prevent accidental start of motors, automatic attachments, and units as recommended in ANSI Z50.1-1971, section 3.2.7, the recommendation to correct this hazard is to: 1) Provide a lockable disconnect switch box. 2) Instruct employees on its use.
