Sectin 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a) Underground Atlanta, 55 Lower Alabama Street Block 6 - On or about
January 13, 1989 an employee was permitted to install shoring 14
feet above ground without proper fall protection.
A feasible and acceptable method of abatement includes but is not
limited to working off scaffolds, ladder, or to be tied off with a
safety belt during the course of work.
