employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
the hazard of being struck by a falling concrete block wall in that the
8' 8" high, 27' long concrete blocked wall located on right front cover
of the foundation was not shored and/or braced.
a) Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard is to shore and/or brace masonry walls until the designed
lateral strength is reached or the top supporting members are in place
to prevent collapse due to wind or other forces. On or about August 1,
1988.
