Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in that employee was exposed to the
hazard of crushing:
a)  55 Shady Hill Road, Media - employee was operating a truck
mounted articulating boom crane without having the stabilizers
fully extended and set.  Employee was crused while attempting to
pick up a load which resulted in a fatal injury.  ( fatality
occured 5/2/91)  Abatement Note:  Among other methods, one
feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard
is to develop, Implement and enforce a safety training program
for the use of truck mounted articulating boom cranes as detailed
in ANSI B30. 22-3.2.  1987
