Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognizes hazards that wre causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
multiple injuries from a 22 foot fall hazard while sheathing a roof
without fall protection:
A) Society Hill Building 16 - The employees were sheathing a roof with
a 8-12 pitch 22 feet from the ground and no fall protection was
provided.
Among other methods, one feasible and accepted abatement method is to
use life lines and safety belts or catch platforms.
