Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Site first floor: Hazard of uncontrolled rotating parts striking employee or clothing caught by machine and not being able to shut-off machine. Rigid 300 no pedal, on or about 10/23/96. Abatement Note: Among other method, one feasible and accepted method to correct this hazard is to provide momentary contact device, ( switch, foot pedal) as required in ANSI B205.1 1982 Section 4.4.ion
