Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to Health Care workers that were exposed
to the hazard of being infected by the HBV and/or HIV through possible
direct contact with blood of other body fluids.  The above employees
have not been offered the Hepatitis B vaccination:
One feasible and useful abatement method for reducing this hazard
is to implement a Hepatitis B vaccination program for employees:
1.  Identify all employees at substantial risk of directly con-
tacting body fluids through the facility's Exposure Control Plan.
2.  Provide employees with the Hepatitis B vaccinations, free of
charge, in amounts and at times prescribed by standard medical
practice.
