Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
(a) On or about October 2, 1991, employee(s) were exposed to the
hazard of fractures, and other serious injuries from being struck by
the crane in the north warehouse at 200 Pioneer Blvd, Sprinboro, Oh.
while working from the Mayville Engineering  Co. elevating work
platform Serial #790038 while it was elevated and in the path of the
overhead crane.
Among others, several feasible and acceptable methods of abatement
include, but are not limited to:
1).  The use of a lockout procedure to de-energize the crane and
prevent its movement.
2).  The use of temporary bumpers or stops to restrict the crane
movement from the area where the work is to be performed.
