Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
(a)  On or about October 1, 1992, employees involved in setting,
bracing and sheeting trusses on the site at 335 South Church Street
were exposed to the hazard of falling with, or being struck by falling
trusses or other materials resulting from the trusses collapsing due
to the inadequate bracing, or the installation of damaged trusses.
Feasible and acceptable methods, among others, to correct this hazard
would be to install adequate bracing including diagonal bracing,
lateral bracing and temporary bracing designed by a registered
professional
engineer or architect, or to follow bracing and installation
recommendations and instructions provided by the truss manufacturer.
