grinding using a
Dayton grinder #12853 in the welding shop.
(b)  Flying parts from abrasive wheel breakage from doing off-hand
grinding using a
Dayton grinder in the fit-it shop.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to:
(1)  Equip the grinder with a work rest which must be kept adjusted
closely to the
wheel with a maximum opening of 1/8 inch.
(2)  Equip the grinder with an adjustable tongue which can be adjusted to
the
constantly decreasing diameter of wheel and kept adjusted so that the
distance between
the wheel periphery and adjustable tongue shall never exceed 1/4 inch.
