29 CFR 1926.105(a): Safety nets were not provided when workplaces were more than 25 feet above the ground or water surface, or other surfaces where the use of ladders, scaffolds, catch platforms, temporary floors, safety lines, or safety belts was impractical: (a) Northeast front of building addition - The employee was walking on the edge of the wall placing roof joists in place, and was not wearing a safety belt and lanyard, a catch platform or safety netting was not provided. A fall hazard of twentysix feet five inches existed. The alleged violations above (1a and 1b) have been grouped because they involve similar or related hazards that may increase the potential for injury resulting from an accident.
