Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were required to operate automobiles equipped with handicap hand controls with which they were not familiar, exposing themselves and other employees t o crash and impact hazards. Among other methods, one feasible and useful method to correct this hazard is to establish and implement a program of information and training for all employees required to operate such vehicles to insure they develop proficiency in this activity.
