free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
Employees were allowed to walk the iron on or about 5/4/93 without
fall
protection approximately 18' above the river bed surface at the I-55
bridge over the Sangamon River north of Springfield, IL.  Among other
methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this
hazard is to erect static lines and insure that all employees wear
belts/harness and lanyards and tie off.
