Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On the site at 511 Aurora Road in Macedonia, Ohio, two employees who were setting and welding up open web steel roof joists, were exposed to a 14 foot 10 inch fall without fall protection. Feasible abatement measures may include, but are not limited to, nets, scaffolding systems, catch platforms, and static/catenary lines in conjunction with safety belts or other harnessing systems.
