5(a)(1):  Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act
of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees.
In that on December 17, 1993, employees were exposed to the hazrds
of broken bones, bone fractures, and internal injuries from falls
of approximately 16 feet 7 inches while performing work duties
including, but not limited to:  the installed of electrical conduit
in the rafters.
Methods of abatement may include, but are not limited to, the use
of fall protection systems such as, scaffolding, catch platforms,
nets, aerial lifts, guardrails or static/catenary lines in
conjunction with safety belts or harnesses and lanyards.
