Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: In that on or before October 20, 1993, employees could fall and be fatally injured from heights of 14' to 15' while setting and bracing wooden trusses of a wooden building. Among others, some feasible and useful methods to correct this hazardous condition would be to use safety belts and lanyards rigged as a restraint device to prevent a fall, safety harness and lanyard, perimeter guard railing and aerial lifts or equivalent fall protection.
