Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed: On or about September 16, 1993, employees were observed installing fiberglass insulation and roof metal decking were not using fall protection and were exposed to fall hazards from approximately 14 feet 9 inches at the eave to 19 feet 1 inch at the peak or ridge. Feasible and acceptable means of fall protection include, but not limited to: a) Safety nets b) Ladders c) Scaffolds d) Safety lines with Body Harness e) Catch platform f) Manbaskets g) Platform lifts h) or any safe combination of the above
