P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health
Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place
of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falls
from elevated platforms:
(a)  Shoneys Inn, Fitzgerald, GA - Employees rode a personnel
platform on the forks of a JCB LOADALL 5308 telescopic lift to
travel to various areas of the jobsite and the platform was not
attached to the forklift.  Employees working at elevations up to
approximately 15 feet were exposed to the hazard of falls, on or
about 7/13/93, on or about 7/13/93.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this hazard is:  Attach the personnel paltform to the
forklift by using the pin on site for that purpose and train
employees on the hazards of riding on the platforms.
