Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) The hazard of being struck by and/or caught between collapsing trusses in that on or about 06-26-96 carpenters were installing wooden roof trusses without adequately bracing them to ensure their structural integrity. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct the hazard is: 1. Install adequate bracing of approved materials at designated locations as directed in the Truss Plate Institute Publication BWT-76, Bracing Wood Trusses: Commentary and Recommendations.c 0p Ly Ly jY
