Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of a partially tack welded unsecured vertical channel, for a a new bay doorway, toppling over: At the middle, new bay doorway, south side of the Number 54 warehouse on or about 12/5/90. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is that members to be welded shall be brought into correct alignment and held safely in position until welding has been completed in accordance with American Welding Society, D1.0-66 Section 403(d), as adopted by Safety in Welding and Cutting ANSI Z49.1-1967 Section 9 Part IJ3.
