Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)the operator of a Hilt Gun (Ramset/Red Head), model #721, were not trained by an authorized instructor of the tool manufacturer. Employee(s) were using tool to secure metal base for sheetrock studs. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to train employee(s) according to ANSI A10.3-1972, Section 13.1 and Section 13.3 "Safety Requirements for Powder Actuated Fastening Systems".
