Section 5(a)(1): of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were expose to: The hazards of being struck by compressed pressurized water at 3000 psi which was used for cleaning. Location: Yonkers Recreational Pavilion ON OR ABOUT 10/13/95 Employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by compressed pressurized water at 3000 psi which was used for cleaning. AMONG OTHER METHODS ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT M M METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS: (1) To follow the Operators Manual for all Mi-T-M, CW- Gasoline Cold Water Pressure Washers pages 1 to 19. (2) Train all employees using the Operators Manual, in the proper use and safety procedures for operating the MI-T-M Pressure Washer.
