Executive Order 12196, Section 1-201(a): The employer did not furnish %% employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Detention Enforcement Officers and Deportation Officers were exposed to the hazard of being infected by tuberculosis through repeated prolonged indoor contact with detainees who may be infected with tuberculosis in that: a) Medical surveillance was not provided to the staff; b) medical screening was not provided to all detainees being processed at the Service Processing Center and/or maintained at the Service Processing Center who are awaiting deportation.
