Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to building collapse:
(a)  Plant Area;  The one story metal roof decked building had a collapsed
roof
at the north and south ends.  The vertical building support beam was
damaged.
A section of the roof decking was hanging over the remaining roof section.
Additionally, a corroded roof truss hanging inside the south end of the
structure
had a collapsed section of roof decking and a girder hanging five feet
above
ground level.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to have a survey conducted by a professional engineer and repair the
building in accordance with
the PA Fire and Panic Act and B.O.C.A. codes.
